About Me

My Story

Hi, I'm Margaret! After graduating college with a degree in psychology, I went through the motions of finding a job and quickly became a cog in the corporate machine. As grateful as I was to be experiencing the glitz and glamour of the Manhattan fashion industry, I was completely unfulfilled. As someone who has always been deeply interested in nutrition and wellness, I looked into the cliché possibility of turning my passion into a career.

While sitting in my cubicle, I started applying to master’s programs in nutrition and Maryland University of Integrative Health was the perfect fit. I was able to take courses online about topics I was enthusiastic about at a program with forward-thinking professors and like-minded peers. By day I was an executive assistant, working on Madison Avenue and by night I was a keen student, sharing my knowledge with anyone who would listen.

After a year of this “double life” and one too many early mornings at my office studying organic chemistry, I left my job to finally gain some clinical experience. I applied for an internship and began learning from an incredible integrative registered dietician/nutritionist in Hoboken, NJ. Having the opportunity to observe and work with a professional who has been successful at changing people's lives for 30+ years was immensely inspiring.

In the fall of 2019, I moved to Denver, CO to experience a different lifestyle, explore the outdoors, finish my degree, become a Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS), and launch my nutrition career.

My Education

I attended the Maryland University of Integrative Health and am a Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrative Health. The 2-year, full-time program is heavily rooted in science and includes rigorous foundational courses combined with up-to-date, functional classes, providing students a well-rounded, progressive education.

I am a Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS), which is a distinguished qualification in the field of nutrition. The CNS credential, awarded by the American Nutrition Association® through its Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists™, is the most advanced certification for individualized nutrition practitioners. In order to become a CNS, one must obtain a master’s degree in nutrition, complete 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience, and pass a rigorous examination.

My Mission

My mission is simple: to provide people the education, tools, motivation, and support they need to improve their wellbeing and live healthier, more fulfilled lives.

Intrinsic compassion is at the center of my approach, which is why I will always remain dedicated to my clients. I am open-minded, constantly evolving, and hopeful that the way Americans view healthcare will drastically change over the next few decades as alternative and complementary medicine continue to show promise. Being involved in the paradigm shift and positively impacting health at an individual level motivates me every single day.
